About Me

Penny{scraps} - est. 1976.

My first scrapbook was a Hallmark postbound, proudly received from Santa in 1976. I promptly proceeded to put every important thing in there. It fanned out quickly and still holds coveted real estate on a shelf. I started scrapping “for real” in 1994 and have morphed over the 2 decades to what you see today. I love it. I truly do. I work full-time and scrap in the nooks and crannies of my time. Which seems to multiply as the number of children at home divides. I am the proud mom of two young men and one daughter-in-love, and am happily married to my college friend, boyfriend and sweetheart now for 31 years. Crafting the story I love. A little every day. Thanks for stopping by.

About this Blog

I mean merely to share my love of story and how that manifests itself in my memory…and sometimes onto a scrapbook page or two. I am thankful for the many scrapping influences I have had in my life and I can seldom lay claim to a unique, original idea for a layout.

The stories, though, are my own. I foster no illusions, either, of being any more of a professional writer than I pretend to be a professional scrapbooker. I appreciate the unfettered and unwavering support of my passion and hobby from my darling husband, who funds my stash, and my amazing sons, who have posed for far more photos than they ever desire to.

I am just an every day girl crafting the good story I love. To any degree that it encourages you, or enlightens you, or spurs you on in your life and loves, to God be the glory.
